I loved my experience at the bulldog! Food is so yummy! and service is even yummier! i wonder who plated my food!! because this was some spectacular plating work. The young man working in the back was the yummiest part of my experience. he had, Good hair, beautiful eyes,a wonderful height, and most importantly, wonderful shoes. he looked spectacular in that red apron. man i loved this restaurant! i am coming back for sure! but i only be coming if that man is working. thank you for being the best!

A must stop if you visit the area. A home town restaurant that serves good food and provides good service. The ladies were very friendly when we visited. They offer daily specials and regular menu.

Our family all got cheeseburgers and fries. They were great. We finished with ice cream cones and I got mine chocolate dipped.

Great place for families or a quick lunch break. Prices were better than any fast food place in town.

I love pretty much everything on the menu here. I love the milkshakes and the flavored ice cream that they have. I also like the walk up window, which is much more convenient than the drive thru when it's really busy. I have small kids so when it gets hot, it's nice to be able to get out of the car and have some ice cream for a few minutes while waiting for the food.

I was traveling from GA headed to north Arkansas when I came up on the Bulldog Restaurant. It was lunch time so I popped in. Best decision of the day!! 10 times better than any chain restaurant! I had the BBQ chicken sandwich. It was chopped chicken that was hot, juicy and tender topped with coleslaw and a tangy BBQ sauce. Best BBQ chicken sandwich I've ever had!!! Paired with their perfectly crispy fried onion rings and I was a happy camper. The staff was warm and welcoming and the place was clean. I saved Bulldog as a in Google maps. I will definitely be back again during future travels!

This place was a random gem I stumbled upon while on my travels. Me and takuto (doge) were very pleased with the food we got. The service was super quick even though the place was busy. The staff was very kind and friendly. Boy did I have a good meal here. Also note they stuck a toothpick in to hold the receipt and silver ware. Little touches like this go a long way for me. I was blown away. You have got to try one of the hand made malts. Excellent shake. I should mention the portions are generous as well. Lots of fries and big ol chicken strips. The home made sauces especially the BBQ are to die for. Don't miss this little stop it's fantastic. Mark tested takuto approved.

This place always has good food. I stop there when I travel from Russellville to Batesville when I go see my dad. The Bulldog has been a great piece of Americana since I was a kid.

Usually stop here for ice cream on the way to visit family. They have such great choices of flavors and they are all great! Personal favorite is the Black Cherry / Chocolate twist cone.

Y'all, it's literally been years since we've visited the Bulldog in Bald Knob, but it won't take us long to come back. A small catfish plate and the fried shrimp plate with dessert was more than we could eat. Delicious comfort food and friendly folks... with fast service even though the line was to the door and the drive thru line was wrapped around the block. Good job, Bulldog!

Don't just take my word for it. This is the Daily Citizen's Best Of The Best Award winner of 2019. I love the chocolate milkshakes. The restiarant is a 4.5 star rating. Very popular place in Bald Knob. I dont see it ever closing due to low business. If I'm not mistaken this is ran by schoolboard members, so its a very integral part of the community.

We have seen this place for years as we were driving to Greers Ferry, but have never stopped. So glad we finally did! I've been coming to this restaurant for over 2 decades. The strawberry shortcake is amazing and anything you get involving ice cream is fantastic.

The Bulldog was a fun place to visit during my college years. The place is always clean, the workers are very quick to your request, and the food is always hot. Nice local joint. If you find yourself stopping through Bald Knob, I highly suggest “eating where the locals do”.

The Bulldog Restaurant in Bald Knob is the best place to go when they have strawberry shortcake! && also have plenty of different food options to choose from.

I have loved this place since I was a kid. Since moving away, every time i come home i come here to get a milkshake. Their banana and chocolate milkshakes are hands down the best.

I love the food, I used the drink thru. They are very fast with your orders. Staff has always been courteous. I have no.complaints. I only wished they sold fish on more day.

Always enjoy coming here for pie and daily specials as well as milkshakes. Much better than supporting the various franchise fast food places.

Burgers were good. Fries have the coating everyone is going to. I dont care for them. Husband liked the coconut cream pie. Pecan pie had a strong egg taste. Service was adequate, not rude but not overly welcoming.

I thought it was a pet store .... nope . Just a delicious dairy bar. They DO have Hot Dogs though ... ??

They have the best ice cream around they have flavor swirls that you can’t find anywhere else. It’s very fair priced. A locally owned business and has been for years the owner does good to give high school students their first jobs and teach them work ethics. Love this place!!!!

We stopped on our way home on vacation. We had the catfish and chocolate pie!! Both were delicious!! Sounds like we should try the strawberry shortcakes next time. It was the best meal we had on our vacation. We will return!!!

Good all American drive thru diner, but it's one of a kind, too. Type of place you envision working at when your in high school or college. Of course, their strawberry shortcake is the bomb! The menu is large and diverse and they have about anything for anyone. Its family friendly, right off the highway, and definately worth a few extra miles to avoid McDonald's and the like.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon traveling home on vacation. We had the catfish & strawberry shortcakes!!! One of the best meals on our vacation!!! The service was awesome & quickness of getting the food was superb. I raved all the way to Little Rock about the shortcake...best I’ve ever eaten. Worth the trip just for the Strawberry Shortcake. They also have great burgers, chilli dogs & catfish. They are always packed at lunch so you know the food is great. But that strawberry shortcake is a little slice of heaven. I'm telling you go for the Strawberry Shortcake. You will not regret it.

We stopped on Friday on our way to Little Red River. Food was yummy, strawberry shortcake was to die for!

Great food and a wide variety. The deserts are great and the peach or strawberry cobblers are on point. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is also very clean and right off the road. The service is quick and food good for the price.

The food is always delicious, but the cashier just looked miserable and wasn't overly friendly. I know everyone has bad days and am hoping that this was the case and she's back to smiling soon.

My husband and I stopped in Sunday and split a fish plate and then split a half and half deluxe shortcake (strawberries and peaches!) and it was awesome! They were slammed, but the workers were nice and efficient. We stop almost every time we drive through Bald Knob.

Everything they have is delicious. I eat there all the time.

We were on a road trip from Wisconsin headed to Dallas. We stopped at the Bulldog cause it appeared to be the only decent restaurant for miles and miles. We were pleasantly surprised. Food was great,fast, and friendly. And the strawberry shortcake really is amazing.

Traveling through and saw lots of cars at lunchtime. Always a good sign. Had the BBQ plate with beans and slaw and it was excellent. The Texas toast was the best. My husband had the BBQ chicken plate and said it was good. We topped it off with their strawberry shortcake. Yum!! Good service too.

Food is expected of a fast food restaurant. Service is friendly and fast. Desserts are better than the dinner options. Stop here after dinner for their awesome strawberry shortcake, or brownie bites sundae!!

Great local restaurant, serving good food and sweet treats fast. This has been a favorite family stop for many decades. We can't pass through the area without stopping regardless of the time of day. The milkshakes (they have a bunch of flavors) are our staple menu item!!

Food was good but nothing extra, a little pricy. Prompt service but not worth going out of your way for.

Everytime we travel in this area of Arkansas we stop at the Bulldog. Never ordered anything we didn't enjoy. The ice cream is great also.

Had a bbq pork sandwich with coleslaw on it, and I loved it! Had strawberry shortcake for dessert, which was good and an interesting twist on the classic. This place seems to be very popular with locals, so it was pretty crowded.

Fast food style surprised us. Menu board behind cashiers. Taco salad was okay. BBQ pork meal was very good. Graduation weekend so very busy but line moved fast. Strawberry shortcake was superb and most people that walked by were partaking of the ice cream in one form or another. Seating is hard chairs or plastic booths but it is what it is. Restroom were marginal, but like I said, busy time.

Big delicious salad with warm grilled chicken and a bargain pork bbq plate to boot. The lot was packed with cars but the service was quick and friendly. Nice clean bathrooms too.

Would have rated it a 5 star but every time my husband and I go in or go through the drive through the girls are never friendly. Went through about 5 mins ago and we came to the window, the girl opened it and stared at my husband and he said I need to place a Togo order and she stood there still not saying a word and so he said ok I need and proceeded to order and she told him the total and that was the whole interaction. Please teach your girl to atleast talk to the customer. Very rude in my opinion. Only complaint though. Love the fries!

We plan our trip around stopping at The Bulldog Restaurant any time we are going through Bald Knob! We all have our favorites. Wife gets the BLT, I get either a double cheeseburger or BBQ ( and sometimes both!). Bulldog never disappoints! Headed there right now!

Had the Enchilada Plate, it was very good, crispy salad and fluffy rice. Lemon Ice-Box Pie, Fresh Homemade Whipped Cream. Nice clean facilities, warm and cozy lil place to get a quick bite to eat.

The Bulldog is the Magnum Opus of Arkansas. It is easily the finest dining experience I have ever had the privilege of experiencing in my lifetime and you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be returning to partake once more in the glory that is this 8th Wonder of the World. As soon as you walk in the door, your olfactory senses are overwhelmed with the true scents and aromas of Arkansas. Ordering your food, may your delicacy, is as simple as walking up and telling them what you want and then waiting for it. The atmosphere of this national treasure is consumed by local individuals so friendly and welcoming, you would think that you've lived in Bald Knob your whole life. I would say, without hesitation, not to experience the majesty that is The Bulldog, is to limit your life experiences to those of mediocrity.

Really great burgers and such. The beef stew is not so great. Watery and no flavor. But the white beans and cornbread is great. Usually a bit of a wait, since they stay busy.

This was my 1st time coming to Bulldog. I will say I'm definitely going to return. The food is hot when served and one of the best burgers I've had. And the staff was absolutely great with my service dog. They welcomed him with no issues and did all they could to help. They even gave bowl for water for him. Will recommend Bulldog to anyone!!!

Love this place!! Not only do they have great food but it has great service. I'm a picky fish eater so I am always hesitant to order it. I've always been pleased with the fish at this restaurant. If you are tired of "fast food" I'd definitely give this place a try. It's just like home cooked meals with the convenience of fast service!

Great little hole in the wall place in a tiny little town in Arkansas. They are known for their strawberry shortcake and while it's tasty, it's not my favorite thing on the menu.
Upon entering the restaurant you go straight to the counter to order. The line was really long however, it moved very quickly. It was a little too fast paced for me, I didn't feel as though I had time to ask questions and felt like I was being rushed by the cashier. I understand she was trying to move through the line hurriedly but I do feel as though if a patron has a question, it should be answered in a courteous manner.
I ordered the BBQ chicken plate and my hubs ordered the burger and fries. The rest of our group got burgers and BBQ sandwiches. The price is incredibly reasonable and our food was brought to our table not too long after we had been seated.
Each of us enjoyed our meals however the BBQ pork sandwich was incredibly messy and more slaw than meat. The fries and onion rings were delicious! I kept seeing the chicken strips and while I didn't get to taste them, they looked great! The Texas toast that came with my meal was probably the best I've had. There was so much butter and the bread melted in your mouth.
For dessert we got the famous strawberry shortcake and a brownie sundae. Both were pretty good but nothing outstanding. I would personally like to eat the 'real' food over the dessert and that's not normal for me. They also serve ice cream, milk shakes, and various homemade pies.
It's a great little place to stop if you're anywhere in the area.

I have eaten here several times over the years and it is always a great place to stop in or get food on the go while you were on a trip. They have great specials such as today there is homemade beef stew and warm apple pecan cake or you can get a standard such as a barbecue sandwich or a hamburger. They also have great desserts such as strawberry shortcake, if it is in season,or I always get a butter scotch shake.

Good BBQ sandwich, fries, onion rings, and we loved the strawberry shortcake. Fries were nice and hot, softer in the middle and crispy on the outside. Quite yummy. Onion rings were also hot, and were juicy in the center and crispy on the outside.
We were there at 5:00 pm on a Friday and it was hopping with customers, mostly locals it seemed. Friendly, family atmosphere, kind of furnished like a Diary Queen with food orders taken at the counter. Good was delivered to the table. A real local favorite!

Great place for a burger or sub on your way from Memphis to Heber Springs and Greers Ferry Lake. They make many different kinds of milk shakes, too.

Clean. Good food. Inexpensive. Catfish on Sunday is great. Daily lunch specials. Order at counter, food delivered to table. In season, specialty is strawberry shortcake.

What a great find! This place was a recommendation and am I glad I listened. It's right off the highway. It's sort of like a Dairy Queen but better. You walk ins and order at the counter, they give you a number and a waitress brings you food to your table. I had a 1/2 pound burger which is a double. It came exactly the way I asked for and was very good. I also had a bowl of their chili. The chili was VERY meaty, o beans and rather mild. No danger of heartburn, no beans either. I thought it was pretty good but could have used a little more kick in my opinion. I also had fries, onion rings and tator tots. The fries were especially good as they had a light batter coating. My companion had the BBQ chicken sandwich and fries. The chicken was chopped. It looked pretty good although she said it could have used more sauce. Companion ordered a dipped cone and she seemed to think it was very good. If I find myself in Bald Knob, I'm going back. The place was spotless. They also had an extensive dessert menu. You'll like it!

A great slice of Americana - this reminds me of a mid 50's era diner - the food is burgers, fries, and a delicious milkshake that is so good the New Madrid fault starts shaking when you indulge in this perfectly created milkshake.

My favorite is the pizza burger... I've been going to this place forever and highly recommend it for all Memphians on their way to Heber Springs

I love this place. I had the BBQ chicken with onion rings. They were both delicious and some of the best I have ever had. I will be back...and often!

Great food! The chicken fingers, BBQ pork, hamburgers, and French fries are great. I get their BBQ sauce and use it for everything. Probably my favorite BBQ sauce I've ever had. My wife loves the strawberry shortcake and their milkshakes are awesome. Definitely recommend trying this place if you are in the area.
